Knee pain – cause and remedy!

What causes knee pain?  Knee pain is primarily caused by an injury, arthritis or surgery.  The resulting knee pain requires a variety of remedies from supplements to exercise.

Knee surgery pain is very different from swollen knee pain which is not the same as pain under the knee cap but is not fun to experience knee pain when bending or knee pain when walking – I know!

This is why I want to share some ways I found to allow me to live a happy, healthy life and keep up to my kids without constant knee pain.

My knee pain started with a sports injury leading to ACL reconstructive surgery and now years later I have to deal with the early onset of osteoarthritis.  For years I suffered with different kinds of knee pain – interior knee pain is different from swollen knee pain or  arthritis pain which is also different from the terrible aching experienced after hard activities like downhill skiing or baseball or long distance biking.

Fight Knee And Joint Inflammation With A Proven Natural Remedy

When you have swollen knee pain it is very hard to walk properly, sit comfortably, or even stand.  The way I took care of my right knee pain and reduce the swelling fast was garlic because it is a natural anti-inflammatory and pain reliever (among other benefits).  Taking it raw is most effective and only took 2-3 days taking a couple of cloves each day to bring the swelling down completely – it just disappeared – gone!  Now I follow that up with a regular odourless garlic tablet – I find that the garlic helps more than just my knee (helps your heart and joints stay clean)

Another effective remedy for knee pain is glucosamine (with Chondroitin and MSM) as they help repair the damage to the cartilage.  These actually build back the tissues inside the joint so that it works smoothly.  These have been so helpful that I have been taking these for a couple of years (combined with the garlic) and have noticed a big difference in how well my knee works.

Exercises for knee pain are also an effective remedy.  Strengthening the supporting muscles around the knee is important to reduce the pain now and in the future.  When I first started my exercise routine, my knee was very sore and achy so I found that using a soft wrap knee brace with magnets in it was very helpful in reducing the pain when exercising and if I had a lot of pain afterward I would ice my knee and then soak it in a hot bath with Epsom salts.  This worked very well.
